This toolbar helps you to utilize all the resouces from a single menu of the GameKnot chess community where you can play chess. The latest version of this toolbar is 1.4. First of all you need to have an account. It is free registration on http://gameknot.com/.

Installation process:

After downloading the GameKnot Toolbar setup file, you have to close all the Internet Explorer windows before installing. Once you finishined the installation process right-click anywhere on the Internet Explorer command toolbar and make sure there is a check mark next to "GameKnot Chess" (click on the menu item if there is not); If you wish to change the position of GameKnot Chess Toolbar by dragging the toolbar with your mouse by the "dotted" line to the left of the icon; if you can not do this you have to right-click anywhere on the Internet Explorer command toolbar and unmark "Lock the Toolbars" (click on the menu item if there is).

The options of the toolbar are describe below:

1.- Log in. Here you log in to Gameknot. It will show the welcome page were you can see your games in progress, start a new game, join a game, watch your buddy list or check your stats/profile page.

2.- My games. Here you have access to My active games, Join a game, Start a new game, Send a challenge, My past game history, My win/loss/draw table, Download active or past games (PGN:Portable Game Notation) or Postpone my games. more

  • It will automatically notify you when it is your turn to move in any of the games or if you have any new messages

Cons

  • To install the toolbar it is required to close all the Internet Explorer Windows. Also requires to add it manually with a right-click from the Command bar
